Movie of the Day – Audition

Oh God. What have I done? Fairly brazen of me to post this movie as I thought about it being the closer to my week long horror movie post, but screw it. Let’s separate out those true horror fans from the Saw horror fans. If mood, tone, and sheer, sadistic violence is what makes a good horror movie great, then Audition is the fucking standard of horror movies. You here about movies that are just a one time watch. You sit through it once and never, ever want to see that movie again. Audition is one of those movies and to be perfectly honest, I have sat through this movie twice. It’s sitting on my dvd shelf as I speak and can even see the box cover. Why buy a movie that I am not going to watch more than once or twice? Well to give to people when they want a scary, horror movie.
