Music Video of the Day – Thriller

Yup, that’s right, Michael Jackson’s Thriller is the movie of the day.  One of the best music videos around that managed to incorporate horror movie elements and even getting Vincent Price to lend his voice to the work.  Werewolves, zombies, creepy house, the occult, and a meta movie within a movie, this is the one of the best musical horror movie around.  Yeah it’s only 14 minutes, but are you going to argue with the King of Pop?

Movie of the Day – Purple Rain

First off, ignore the fact that there is no trailer for today’s post.  Nothing can be found on Youtube other than some recut trailer that makes this sexually charged film look like some sort of David Lynchian psychological thriller.  So instead, you get the bombastic, epic sound of the Purple Rain song by none other than Prince and The Revolution.  I don’t know what brought me to picking this movie today, but it might have something to do with me listening to the soundtrack, which is fucking amazing by the way, for a large portion of my work day.  So why not do a movie post on the iconic, for some, film titled Purple Rain.

Movie of the Day – Meeting People Is Easy

Tonight, I am going to be attending a concert.  A concert that I have been waiting for, well, a long time I guess.  Tonight Radiohead is playing in KC and I got my ticket ready for the show.  I love Radiohead and will vehemently defend this band to the bitter end, but frankly they don’t need defending as they are just absolutely enthralling and downright mesmerizing.  So in honor of their show tonight, I decided to post about the rockumentary entitled, Meeting People is Easy. A film that is a patchwork of news clips, interviews, articles and candid video of Radiohead as they were promoting their 1997 album, OK Computer.  So hit the jump for an embedded video of the entire film and enjoy the show.
